Villa de maître — marble and concrete
Carrara marble bathrooms, concrete basins and backlit mirrors, beneath a hall crossed by toplight.
The bathrooms set two materials against each other: the veining of white marble and the mute mass of the concrete basins. The backlit mirrors lift off the wall and create depth.
The double-height hall takes a linear rooflight; oak-framed internal windows carry that light through to the adjoining rooms.
