Entrance hall — contemporary mashrabiya
A star-lattice screen, a perforated brass ceiling and sandblasted glass doors: a contemporary reading of the mashrabiya.

The traditional star motif is taken up at three scales: etched into the door glass, cut through the timber screen, perforated into the backlit brass ceiling.
The marble floor reflects these filters and multiplies the shadows. The hall becomes an inhabited threshold rather than a simple passage.
